The Planted Parenting Team
Trish is our Director and Principal Occupational Therapist. She believes children should feel like they have a place, they are valued, they can contribute to this wonderful world we share, and that they belong. She is beyond passionate to see families have a more positive dynamic in their homes.
Tricia’s heart is for parents to feel equipped to navigate the day to day with their children. She is building a dream team of like minded Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants to partner with families, to do us out of a job. Families will be coached and supported to achieve their goals, to not be dependent on ongoing therapy. Fun and engagement are key to our therapy approach at Planted Parenting. We can’t wait to journey with your family.
The best things in life are worth the wait…and Lachlan is no exception! He will be onboard at Planted Parenting, part time as an Occupational Therapist (Wednesdays-Fridays).
This guy blew us away when he first reached out to Planted Parenting with his exceptional manners, approachability, knowledge and calm demeanour. Lachlan is authentic and understanding, and has so many amazing skills to bring to the team.
Lachlan is our sensory processing king! This is no light title, he is completing his PhD on the effects of carers and children’s sensory processing patterns, and how they impact attachment. So he really IS the sensory king :crown:.
We are always on the look out for a person who fully resonates with the Planted Parenting vision and values. Lachlan engages with children and their parents/ caregivers with ease. He sees the importance of ensuring parents feel encouraged and supported to live each and every moment of the day, encouraging growth in their beautiful children.
A rock climber and musician, humble and kind…this amazing OT brings a richness to the team life we are cultivating.
We are incredibly blessed to have such an enthusiastic, warm, passionate and experienced OT join our team.
Janice is a mum of two adorable children, and has first hand experience with the joys and challenges of raising a family. She decided to return to study to pursue Occupational Therapy, so she could encourage parents to feel better equipped to navigate the journey with their children.
Janice has also worked in disability support and as a therapy assistant. This has given her lots of opportunities to apply her learning from university.
Her collaborative nature and play style will be an asset to our Planted Parenting families and our dream team. We are looking forward to Janice being on board full time at the end of this year.
Introducing our new Play and Education Specialist, and Lead Therapy Assistant, Angelique! As her Planted Parenting title implies, Angelique is the play guru. She’s a mum of 2 young boys, experienced primary teacher for over a decade, and is the beautiful face behind @heads.shoulders.knees (drop her a follow to be inspired by her play wisdom).
She brings compassion, wisdom, experience, and bags full of fun to the therapy space to support your child in their OT goals. Being a teacher too, she’s more than equipped to support handwriting challenges, and those tricky behaviours that can impact life at home and in the classroom.
We feel seriously spoilt to have Angelique’s positive warmth, and experience adding to our dream team.
I’m calling this champion our needle in the haystack, and here’s why…
Jordan is a man of humility, he will put his hand up for any job even if it’s mundane, and he genuinely likes helping people. When I found out he is studying Occupational Therapy and adores coaching footy, basketball and Kelly sports…he was a must have for our dream team. He is so kind, warm and authentic. This guy can happily play tea parties for hours or find the ‘just right challenge’ to build on skills a child struggles with. Jordan is lots of fun, respectful, and has bags full of initiative.
Jordan enjoys connecting with our Planted Parenting families, and puts all his uni learning into practice under our Director and Principal Occupational Therapist’s close supervision.
