Planted Parenting was founded in 2017, by Tricia when she saw a gap for parents and educators needing support to guide and teach children with challenging behaviours. From a place of social media bombarding us with opinions and judgement rather than evidence based support, Planted Parenting was created to encourage more positivity in homes around the world.

Parent consults and coaching
We could all use less judgement and more encouragement. My heart is for you to feel empowered to bring more positivity into your interaction with children. Through a tailored in-person or skype consult, I can equip you with the behavioural strategies to help shift the tone in your home and classroom to a more positive one. You may require a one off session, or benefit from ongoing coaching after the initial stratgies have been introduced to you. Both options are available.
Ever had it mentioned to you that perhaps your child would benefit from seeing an Occupational Therapist, but unsure how an OT can help? Through an initial screening session with you and your child, I can determine what types of intervention your child would benefit from, and refer you to a local OT for ongoing sessions.
Education and Training
Ensuring educators and parents have access to evidence based Occupational Therapy strategies to negotiate childhood and extreme childhood behaviours is key to a harmonious classroom and home. Allow me to gather with your staff, mothers group, playgroup or support group to share helpful strategies and resources.
Selective Mutism Support
Specialising in Selective Mutism, I am passionate about children with SM growing in confidence to use their voice and communicate across all areas of daily living. Supporting not just the child but family members and the education team is integral to a child with SM flourishing in life.
